She earned her undergraduate degree in Sociology and Communication from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and spent five years working in the wine industry before law school. Deniz Masjedi is originally from Iran and raised in Orange County. She graduated from UC Berkeley with a double major in Political Science and Sociology. Prior to law school, Deniz worked as a corporate paralegal at Cooley LLP, supporting venture capital transactions in the Palo Alto office. This summer, she will join Sidley Austin as a 1L Summer Associate.
