Joanna Chen is a 1L at UC Law San Francisco. Joanna was a Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, where she double majored in Political Science and Media Studies. Prior to law school, Joanna worked in investment banking, primarily in debt capital markets and technology M&A. She has also worked with startups and startup founders in a variety of capacities–finance, marketing, and strategy.
As the daughter of immigrant parents, Joanna fostered her entrepreneurial skills from a young age. Her earliest experiences cultivated her desire to empower underrepresented founders in the emerging companies and venture capital sector. Outside of law school, you can find Joanna golfing, creating fashion and lifestyle content for social media, or hosting a dinner party.
