  • Check out UC Hastings’ Center for Racial and Economic Justice (CREJ) six-episode podcast series Black Hastings Speaks. This series pays homage to the rich oral traditions of African Americans, to foster healing, build connections, encourage systemic change, and deepen empathy on issues of anti-Blackness.
  • Professors Alina Ball and Shauna Marshall initiated the project in the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder, when exasperation over persistent anti-Black racism erupted nationwide in protests, prompting individuals and institutions to begin speaking with rare urgency about the importance of addressing white supremacy and the need for systemic change.

  • Professor Crawford’s current research focuses on the regulation of financial markets and institutions. In addition to U.S. corporate and securities law, his interests include business and property law reform efforts in developing and emerging markets.

  • Professor Ellias’ California Law Review Article from last year, “Bankruptcy Hardball,” was named to the Corporate Practice Commentator’s List of the Top 10 Corporate and Securities Articles of 2020, out of 320 corporate law articles from last year. This is the highest honor that a corporate law article can win and the first time a UC Hastings professor has made the list.
